Kodiak Island
Kodiak Island is well known for its Kodiak brown bears and its magnificent scenery.  Kodiak has
a population of about 14,000, which includes the city of Kodiak, several villages, the U.S Coast
Guard Base, plus some remote camps and lodges.  There are many things to do on your visit to
Kodiak:  bear viewing, camping, fishing, hiking.   You can see amazing sights and the wildlife is
breathtaking. Don't forget to bring a camera - you never know what you will see.
